TKADM (To Kill A Dead Man) is the collaborative project of Sydney based musicians Jessica Meier & Alex Meier. Having met as teenagers over a decade ago, their creative relationship has evolved through a mutual love of sonic storytelling.

Guided by an enduring fascination with the way sound and image shape one another, together they have composed music for film, commercial projects and art installations.

Their process often explores manipulating field recordings, analogue tape loops, eurorack and using Jessica’s voice as an instrument – forming unnerving textures that weave in and out of the narrative.

They have a longstanding collaborative relationship with director Jessica DiCosta, which has culminated in her latest project ‘Mothmama’ which is set to premiere in the Orizzonti Short Films Official Competition at the 83rd Venice Film Festival.

Aside from her music work, Jessica is an AACTA winning sound-effects editor and re-recording mixer, who has worked in the film industry for the past seven years. Her credits include Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, Foe and more recently Selina Miles’ timely documentary ‘Silenced’ which premiered at Sundance Film Festival and opened the Sydney Film Festival.
